Blue Stockings is an art-folk duo based in Meanjin/Brisbane, featuring guitarist Chloe Hasson and vocalist Alison Paris. With influences ranging from psychedelic 70s folk, traditional ballads and modern indie-folk, their sound weaves intricate guitar melodies with poignant lyrics, creating a unique sound. With a focus on story-telling and conceptual performances, Blue Stockings approaches their music with a DIY ethos and a sense of humour.

In 2025, they released their debut concept EP 'Impermanence,’ wherein each song is based on a Tarot card. The body of work comes to reflect a querent, or the subject of the reading, who is at a crossroads in their life; stuck in the wrong career, wrong relationship and wrong circle of friends. Uncertainty and indecisiveness are at the core of the reading - but so is the knowledge that this is only temporary, and someday clarity and peace will come.
